4:35PM   The Scorpions are doing a farewell tour.  Well have been for a while.  In the midst of it, they managed to do an “MTV Unplugged”?   Last week the bands just released the “touring edition” of it.  It contains the whole concert on 2CDs, a DVD with a long making-of-video and a bonus disc containing unreleased studio edits in a premium hardcover-book!  25 songs, mostly hits, spanning the bands entire amazing career are in the performance.  Scorps are one of the greats!  Be sure to check the trailer below.

4:05PM     A message from AC/DC… Malcolm is taking a break.  That’s it.  Don’t expect a long explaination why.  There will be no charity set up or Foundation created.  AC/DC still wants to make pills of cash!  40th anniversary year is this year so what they announce should be BIG.  We can’t wait to see the boys again.

Michael and Storm from Moore joined the Legion of HardLickers who stopped by today to say hi at the Supercuts in Norman.   Glad to meet you guys.  KATT listerners are the coolest of any station in the nation.

3:38PM    Here’s the breakdown of the four Aerosmith LP’s out for this year’s Record Store Day

“Rocks” – 12″ 180 gram remastered numbered

“Draw the Line” – 12″ 180 gram remastered numbered

“Night in the Ruts” – 12″ 180 gram remastered numbered

* “Rocks” – 12″ 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket. AEROSMITH‘s 1976 classic “Rocks” captures AEROSMITH at the band’s most raw and rocking, featuring “Back In The Saddle” and “Last Child”.

* “Draw The Line” – 12″ 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket. AEROSMITH‘s 1977 release “Draw The Line” responded to then-emerging punk with a full-on straight-ahead hard rock assault, wrapped in an iconic cover art by American caricaturist Art Hirschfeld.

* “Night In The Ruts” – 12″ 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket. 1979’s “Night In The Ruts” includes “No Surprize”, which recounts the band’s early history, as well the driving “Chiquita”, the jamming “Three Mile Smile”, the furious “Bone to Bone”, and a pair of covers: THE YARDBIRDS“Think About It” and the novelty number “Reefer Head Woman”.

* “Rock In A Hard Place” – 12″ 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket. Originally released in 1982, “Rock In A Hard Place” is the only album in AEROSMITH history to not include guitarist Joe Perry. The band still created world-class rock as evidenced in the title track as well as “Prelude To Joanie”, “Lightning Strikes”, “Jailbait”, “Bitch’s Brew” and “Bolivian Ragamuffin”.
