Jake Daniels Friday’s Broadcast 4-25-14

5:30PM  Avenged Sevenfold will be releasing a mobile video game app called “Hail to the King: Death Bat”.  Here’s the trailer for it.  Looks killer!!  They will also be here in August for Mayhem Festival with Korn.  Hells to the Yeahs!

5:05PM   Alice In Chains aka the Cantrell family Reunion is tonight in Tulsa.  All our friends enroute on the Kilpatrick Turnpike enjoyed some extremely rare AIC recorded in the KATT’s JungleRoom back in the mid 90’s!

4:40PM  Katt Kongrats to Jacob Gamel of Norman.  Jacob guessed the lick for “Lick This” and won ZZ TOP tickets to their show at the Zoo on August 22nd.  The song was La Grange.  Enjoy some sleezy ZZ bitches!

4:05PM    “Keys to the Highway/Trouble in Mind” link to hear unreleased Zeppelin.  I’ve always subscribed to the belief that most “unreleased” songs should stay that way.  If they weren’t good enough to be on an album back then then why should they now?  This Zepp cover is actually an important song because it really showcases the influence of blues music on the band.  The song itself is probably one of the more bluesy Zepp tracks.

3:40PM    Rob Zombie was recently on Spike’s Ink Master as  a guest judge.  Judging “creepy demons”.  If anyone would know it would be Mr. Personality Rob Zombie.

It’s Season 4 Episode 408 for reference.   Ink Master is a predictable tattoo competition reality show hosted by Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction.  Dave is no stranger to TV outside of Janes.  Expect more of the same from both guys in the future.

3:05PM     With the band looking beyond their “Final Tour”, The guys in Motley Crue are planning for life outside of Motley.  One of the ways of doing that is by corporate endorsements or branding products etc.  Ladies and genitals, I give you “Jake Daniels possible corporate sponsorships ideas for Motley Crue: Idea #1 “Motley CrueX Ball Sav”.  Now with Vince Neil’s recent purchased interest in an arena football team I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually used my idea….
