Sammy Hagar celebrated his annual Birthday Bash from October 7-13 at Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, featuring rock luminaries including Alice in Chains’ Jerry Cantrell, who performed grunge classics like “Would?,” “Rooster,” and “Man in the Box” alongside Hagar’s band. Cantrell led a spirited cover of Van Halen’s “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” before Hagar took over vocals for “Man in the Box.” The event also included appearances by Belinda Carlisle, who performed hits like “We Got the Beat” and “Heaven Is a Place on Earth,” and Anthrax’s Joey Belladonna, who delivered renditions of Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” and Van Halen’s “Best of Both Worlds” with Hagar and Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, who has been a longtime member of the red rocker’s band. Hagar now sets his sights on an 11-concert Las Vegas residency throughout March and September 2026 at Dolby Live at Park MGM. (Consequence of Sound)
